Ph2 Gearknob

Are the phase 2 (BE3) gearknobs screwed on? Tried, but cannot unscrew mine!

 

Got a shiny new white nylon quaife one to fit!

It's not screwed on as such, but a sustained pulling upwards whilst twisting approach normally succeeds in pulling the gearknob off (and smacking yourself in the face with it!)

Twist it 90 degrees to either side first of all. Then from there you need to tug whilst wiggling it about and twisting it a few degrees either way. It'll come loose eventually, and now that you know about the risk of a broken nose hoefully you'll be ready for it when it breaks free
