Possible Gearbox Problems?

Hi all,

 

Having a problem with me track car at the moment, and its a week until Brands!!

 

When you go to pull away in 1st, there is a vibration of some sort while driving along. When I go to reverse no noise is made but does briefly when I slowly stop.

Today it was making a noise while in neutral only when the gearlever was being pulled to the left.

 

At first thought it was the exaust but it isn't that as is a real loud vibration. Any thoughts would be great!

Are all the gearbox bolts tight, in particularly the lower rear one that screws in from the engine side near the speedo drive?

 

It's quite common for that one in particularly to come loose / fall out and then eventually the others come loose as well, causing vibration and clutch/gearchange issues.
