bigsheep 5 Posted March 29, 2011 Is there a difference between the front towing eye location on ph1 and ph2 cars? My front bumper has a towing eye horizontal slot on the nsf lower corner, my car has a tow bracket on the osf chassis leg.... Has anyone come accross this before? I was considering mounting a webbing towing strap, does anyone have any photos of one of these andd how did you mount it? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
welshpug 1,647 Posted March 29, 2011 (edited) no difference, if the slot is there but has no towing eye then its missing! base models used a shallower bumper/valence and a different towing eye (which is still present on the gti), one on each side IIRC too, gti had a bolted on plate+towing eye.
