My Sunday Repair. Day

Recommended Posts

well folks. looks like the pug had enough on saturday night, was at my local petrol station for some goodies, as i was only going in and out i left it running, came out the garage and just caught out the corner of my eye a massive puddle under the car, i thought to myself that wasnt there when i parked up. looked under the car and sure enough it had popped a hose. manage to fill it up quick and get down the road. so this morning it was leak hunting time. the hose had popped of here. DSCF0357.jpg so once that was fixed i noticed a slight oil leak, and again it was a popped hose. fixed that and gave the bottom of the engine a good degreasing, so far i havent had any oil or water dripping from it. have been out for a few hours in it today so it all seems fine. think i will order a full sillicone hose kit for it as the pipes on it just now are at least 20 years old . so this was how my sunday went. Happens to us all mate! I remember the first time a hose split on mine, i was booting it big time down the ring road and all of a sudden the rear view mirror was filled with smoke / steam, then the electrics shorted out, it soaked the alarm and all the lights, alarm and indicators came on at once. Was an interesting drive home! :) A silicone hose kit is probably a good idea, as you say, all the pipes are 20 years old now
