Been watching this on the bay of E only to fing he's only 10 miles down the road, gonna go and look tomorrow after work but just wanted a second opinion. Does the bonnet look strange in picture 5 look above both lights and in pic 6 it seems to stick up? Is this normal or easy fix?

many thanks

The grill isn't clipped in correctly so is sticking out slightly on the drivers side.

The bumper will be the hardest thing to fix imo.

Thanks for looking for me, would you get it? I just thought it looked like the bonnet was sticking up at the back?

Didn't notice it sticking up. Odd.

I'd avoid as I can't think what gaskets is in the gearbox and why spend on that on the head but not mention belt, waterpump, etc. Also if a twelve pound wheel cylinder is leaking why has he left it?

Worth checking its mot history

If he's only 10 minutes away, no harm in going to have a poke around it. Every 205 you look at will give you a bit of extra experience and you'll be better for it. Don't do what I always do - buy the first car you look at and end up regretting it

Now then. First of all, that front end is twisted to f***. It must have had a shunt. This is backed up by his comments "it got a crack on top of the front bumper" and "small dent on the front wing". Look at the bumper and valance in the first pic. The bumper is pushed in on the passenger side (look how it sits under the headlight and indicator) and the valance is all to cock. Quite why he doesn't mention this, when it's as blatant as a 10 foot tall walking d*ck, is strange

Rear valance also looks twisted. That could be quite innocent though. The valance has two supports either side, which usually come away. If it's only come away at one side that could explain why one side is at a different angle.

Rear wiper position suggests it's not parking correctly. There's an open thread from another member with this problem at the moment. Whilst my logic tells me it should just be a duff relay, the suggestion in that thread is that it's possibly a problem with the permanent live feed to the motor, and my vague memory of when it happened to me years ago is that I actually swapped the motor to fix it.

Boot light actually works! That's nice, as the switch inside the tailgate usually fails :)

There's a rats nest of wiring in the front drivers side of the engine bay. Cowboy alarm install? Whatever it is, it would concern me.

VIN plate has been tampered with (doesn't sit flush). Possibly removed for the respray. Check the cars identity very carefully. On second thoughts, it's still got the original sticker on the suspension turret, so engine bay respray unlikely. Why is that VIN plate bent? <_<

Air intake tube has split and been sealed up with black tape. Not a massive issue as it's pre filter and AFM, but worth noting.

I spy with little eye - looks like the drivers side bonnet hinge has come away. Common failure (bolt shears). Since the passenger side does not sit flush, then the hinge is probably gone on that side too. Explains why the bonnet does not sit flush. Not a massive problem, and can be lived with, but a bit of an arse to fix if you want to.

Ripple in top of passnger side door, near the glass.

Front passenger seat is a drivers side seat (back adjustment on inside rather than outside).

Ph2 black heater control surround.

Lack of paint at bottom of drivers side B pillar. Check for split spot welds and corrosion there. Very common.

That's all I can spot. Do I win a prize? :P

Personally, I'd buy mine, but then I'm biased.
