Wheel & Cage Colour Suggestions

Recommended Posts

hanpug25

Right, I have a steel grey 205 gti thats destined to be a track car. It shortly going to be fitted with a cage , but I'm unsure what colour to paint it (its currently white).

Same situation with the wheels. I like standard for the road, but they just look a little dull ATM and they need a refurb to be fair (there 15" 1.9 speedlines)

Any suggestions???

black cage, or if you want people to know the cage is there a nice red cage in a graphite imho, to match up with the red inserts and badges e.t.c keep the wheels standard as (imo again) i think white can look a bit out of place on all but white and miami colours. anthracite (sp) could look nice on a graph grey B)

Liking red for the cage - to fit in with the strips and bagdes etc.

Deffo not white for the wheels, orange can look good, but not sure on a steel grey???

Bright colored wheels are too intrusive for me... I'd go for a dark silver/or black if you don't want them standard. I've got the same issue with my car, it's grey and I don't want standard silver wheels! :(

I always wanted Orange on mine, until I bought a set of metalflake Orange speedlines. Now I have another silver set. Get someone to photoshop some different colours for you

With Graphite you'll get away with most colours IMO.

Not so much with the cage, but for the wheels I'd go to your local powercoaters + pick the wildest colour they have.

I've had red (on a black car with red sign-writing), yellow (on a red car) + metallic purple (which actually ended up a little darker than I intended, but looked great in the sun - never made it onto a finished car).
