Adjustable Top Mounts Diy Style

Recommended Posts

unariciflocos

Having just ordered my new suspension I was thinking of saving a bit on the top mounts.

I have access to all the machinery, tools and skilled labour to make my own eccentric adjustable top mounts and I was wondering if anyone has some dimensions or info on them.

I'm thinking diameter, thickness, material, the type of bearing used?

Thanks,

Andrei

Hi there I am not using any eccentric top mount but a modified Cusco camber adjustable top mounts. The original thickness was 6mm (aluminium 7075) but cracked after a few years, so a 8mm substitude made and I guess you may go for 8mm or more to play save.

Also, you may consider this method to use with eccentric mounts due to you always alter the caster when adjusting camber or vice versa, you can offset the difference in either camber or caster. But you have to strengthen the strut top first.
