205 Brake Fluid Reservoir And 406 Master Cylinder

Recommended Posts

I'm sure you can see where this is going.

I've bought a 406 M/C but it didn't come with a reservoir. Can i re use my 205 one? It fits, but looks a bit sketchy, but then again it wasn't that secure on the original M/C!!!

I just went to the scrappy and bought a 406 bendix reservoir, it fits and looks better than the 205 one imho. If you are worried about using the original 205 one you can just put a cable tie around the reservoir and master cylinder for adder security.

Should have done a google search....apparently it's fine, can anyone confirm?

I ran mine like that and it was fine, no different as with the 205 MC.

I actually bought a 406 reservoir (or it might have been from a 306...) but it sat at completely the wrong angle in the car so it got ditched.
