Does anyone know the paint code/ colour name of my pug?

Am I right in thinking the only white 205's came in where alpine white?

I would say that is probably Bianca White, but if you are hoping to get a decent match from off the shelf cans then forget it. Go to a paint factor, get them to mix it to your car and put it in an aerosol if you so desire. About twice the price of the Halfords crap and about ten times better.

so do you think it would be a better idea to just wait for a white bumper to come up for sale instead?

I would say its alpine white  I had the paint code until the other day when I gave the piece of paper to my painter

Would you say its a brillant white or a creamer white? the latter being Apline.

Alpine white as far as I know was only up to about 1989/90, the later cars of which a J reg would be one were Bianca white.

White Rallyes (J-K Reg) were Alpine white, paint code P0WT (that's a zero!). Have a look under the bonnet, around the area of the passenger strut or above the headlamp. You may find it displayed there, in a very faint yellow print.

For reference, the the paint code on my H Reg XS is found in the location below:

You have to look pretty carefully, as it's pretty faint, but should look something like this:
