Mi16 Head Oil Pressure Valves?

Hi,

 

When rebuilding the mi16 head theres two one way ball valves for the oil spray bars?? behind the cam pulleys.

 

Now I'm going to have the head hot tanked and tried to remove these as Ive been told theres a filter in there as well??

 

Ive tried to get them out with a small screwdriver but they wont come past the thread!

 

So How do they come out? do they need to come out? can they be replaced with new?? :wacko:
