Replaced The Throttle Cable And Sad....

Recommended Posts

and now the uncontrollable high idle seems to be sorted!!!

Fingers crossed that's the last of that drama and I can now concentrate on getting the trivial jobs done.

Hope to see some of you up at Cadwell on the 25th to inspire me

Cheers

Do you think it was down to one more than the other or did both have an equal effect? I have a high idle that doesn't appear to be an air leak and am trying to work it out.

I think a bit off both, the old SAD would eventually start to close but after 30 mins or more, not great on a 20 minute commute, the throttle cable appeared to be too short and always holding the throttle ever so slightly open.

Time will tell but its looking good so far.

Good luck

Thanks, will give the SAD a go. I think my throttle cable is fairly loose so that shouldn't be the problem. All I need now is to find some time to have a good look.

Well done Andy, always nice when you get to the bottom of a problem. Did that gasket sort the water weeping?
