Which Hose Goes Where?!

Recommended Posts

Before I start butchering my lovely silicon hoses, can someone confirm i've got them the right way round?!

As above, top heater matrix hose goes to header tank and small metal pipe...

whereas the other silicon hose goes from the bottom heater matrix pipe to the thermostat block,

here,

where it will clearly need some trimming!

Also, the wiring will be tidied up i a bit!!!

Thanks guys, was thinking as I put the pics up that I might swap the heater matrix hoses round as herman has done...i guess it's not critical but it looks a bit smoother.

Did you have many problems with the heat from the manifold? It's all pretty close round there!!!!

Never had a problem with the hoses but I wouldn;t run the loom that way personally unless you use some good heatwrap

tits.

I was gonna heat wrap them and pop them behind the hoses...I really can't be arsed running them along the dashboard. Will try and get the thing running like this then re-route them afterwards.

You don't need to run them behind the dash, it plugs in by the fuse box with the leads pulled thru the dash with a couple of ties cut, nice and easy and cheaper than Heatwrap too
