Hi all

Just wanting to get a general opinion on whether this mi16 engine mount is modified to tilt the engine at all??

Yep as above, that's a standard mount. The "tilted" version required the mounting fork to be extended by welding on extra metal where the donut bush mount is bolted through.

Not necessarily, the extra bit can be anywhere, obviously.

But yes, that one certainly looks standard as they come.

So this would then mean my engine is not tilted??? Well nOt tilted beyond the standard factory tilt anyway!

Going by the picture yes. :)

What exhaust manifold is fitted, might be a clue too!

It's got a 4 2 1 manifold but my exhaust keeps popping at the slip joint on the manifold to exhaust joint

I was told my engine was tilted, and thought this might be causing undue pressure on the exhaust joint!

But by tge sounds of it, it's not a tilted engine!!

I'd guess movement in the engine is causing the joints to slip. I had the same issue with mine. I just had the joints tack welded. Had no issues since.
