good evening all

I apologize in advance for my bad English

here I would like some information on the "xu9j4rs"

I possess a motor and a xu9j4 xu10j4rs

I like to know if it is possble to put the yoke on rs Blec Mi16 engine?

they are the benefits (except the weight) of this assembly?

if you have more information, I thank you in advance!

Have a look for a project thread by a member called "Cameron" who built one and detailed it all in his project thread.

I look at the post "cameron" but it's pretty vague ...

it's plug and play?

he must keep the piston xu9j4? what head gasket used, cylinder head bolts, timing belt (for stored water pump standard) ...

There isn't actually that much detail in my thread on here, I had one on another site that went into much more detail on the engine build.

It's not exactly plug and play, I needed to use aftermarket engine management on mine. All the parts go together fine though, the only thing you really need to modify is the cam belt cover.

thank you Cameron!

here I have a 205 with a xu9j4 injection, 4 thortles, KMS Management ...

have you felt a big difference with this setup? m'interrese it because the head of the RS looks more efficient and better polished.

could you give me the link or post your information there is mounting?

thank you

My engine was completely standard other than the management and made 167bhp, it basically felt like a really healthy Mi16. The GTi6 head has a lot of good improvements over the Mi one, and the manifolds are much better.

You can find my project thread here: Click! Page 11 is the start of the engine build.

thank you cameron!

I just look at your post and I'll say congratulation!!

So to summarize:

lower motor standart Mi16

head gasket Mi16

breech gti6

screw breech gti6

by cons at the timing belt, you took that model?

there is another way which means no modifying of timing belt covers,

use the XU7 block, timing belt covers, timing belt kit + water pump, Head bolts. (+ engine mounting bracket)

XU9J4 crank rods and pistons.

XU10J4R / RS cylinder head.

The only thing this block does not have is piston oil spray jets in the block like the XU9J4, as it made do with a drilled conrod and a hole in one bearing shell instead, so did still have an oil jet system of sorts.

It will mean a much newer engine block and liners though.

Hmm.. I take it the blocks are the same height then?

Would be a good combination actually, as you could also use the XU7 windage tray without having to modify anything. :)

XU7JP4 doesn't have a windage tray, or atleast the ones I've stripped haven't.

Oh, for some reason I always thought they did!

Do they have the same mains bolt threads as the XU10J4RS block?

yes, but I would be more willing to block xu9j4 (I is in stock)

in fact, I would do:

crankshaft of 205 td (better lubricate but heavier, eased)

piston rod shirt Mi16

rs breech with big cam

it to the circuit.

but what a timing belt used?

xu7 just what car?

nope, as its alloy block its the same as the XU5+9, so modified bolts would be required like Nick and marting (CRF_450) did.

Or something like a Constella or pugsport baffled sump which incorporates a windage tray :)

XU7J4 is from late ZX, Xsara, berlingo Xantia 306 406 partner :)

re-oil spray bars, I recall tom fenton modifying his block but can;t remember precisely how, it may have been along the similar lines of a drilled conrod as they already have?

you can run the xu9 alloy bottom end xu7 head bolts, cambelt and head gasket* with the xu10j4rs head.

*although i ran the xu repair headgasket which is available from pug
