Location Of Fuel Relay On 205Gti Cat

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

let me first say how grateful I am to find a forum as informative as this. I've bought my first Pug a couple months ago, and even if the new registrations to forum were suspended and I was unable to annoy you with many redundant questions, I still managed to learn a lot, and even persuaded myself I can refurb my rear beam in DIY manner-it all went smoothly, and my cars backside behaves nicely now.

And now it's time for me to go under the dash...

I'd like to know what is the location of fuel (tachymetric) relay on '91 205GTI cat. It has Motronic ECU 02612001162. I have tried to find it in the location that has been suggested by many-above the throttle pedal, but all I found there was a 3pin white box that looks much smaller(shorter) than the fuel relay I've seen on the pictures on this forum, ebay, etc. Is the relay the same on Jetronic and Motronic cars, and where is it located?(mind you, I'm from Croatia and it is a LHD car, if it matters)

I hope you can shed some light on this...

cheers,

Ivan B

It should be next to the ECU under the dash on the driver's side of the car as you say, the white relay sounds like the light buzzer perhaps.

Edit; i don't actually think a Motronic/CAT car has one!

The car in question is LHD, so it's in the glovebox on the passenger side, but it's still by the ECU and it's yellow :).
