Which Distributor Cap And Arm?

Recommended Posts

TaffyTim

My MI16 still has the gti dizzy cap set up.

I've searched a lot and cant see the answer so from looking at service box I've brought it down to either:

the 0237009066 part number 5940 52

or the DUCELLIER 2525709 part number 5940 35

Am I right in thinking its the latter or will it depend on my set up?

Edit

Ive just seen the price they charge on service box, GSF is a third of the price for part no 921PC0030, will this be the right one?

Tim, You;ve got the Mi set up no 8v rubbish, It's still a Dizzy cap but GSF etc I think are around £30.00 for each now, Try Dorset Autospares might be cheaper

Occasionally they turn up quite cheap on eBay.

Ta Milles, you saved me a headache there.

Dorset Autospares and Camberley parts didnt seem sure which one i needed, whats the best thing to say to them to get the right one apart from saying its roughly a 1991 405 1.9 with a cap that has the king lead going in at a different side to the HT leads?

Dorset Autospares quoted the arm at £3.80, where Camberley Quoted £17.01!!!

GSF website seem to have it easier and only list one part, no. 921PC0010, but this says its the cap and doesnt list an arm??

Ask for a Citroen BX 16v one, makes life very easy then as it was the only model with the right parts fitted, the more expensive one sounds right thou
