Blown Dashboard Lights - So Stupid.

Recommended Posts

macaroni

Hi,

While trying to remove a blown bulb from the heater panel (stupidly with the lights on...) I fused the circuit and now the dashboard lights won't work. There was a puff of smoke from behind the clocks (speedo side).

All the fuses seem intact, so have I knackered the circuit board behind the clocks, or is there a hidden fuse buried in there?

Any help gratefully received and any piss-taking handled with good grace.

Cheers,

Antony

Check you haven't fried the dimmer switch, that died on my ZX and I lost all interior illumination.

easy enough to do, unplug it and bridge the pins.

That solved it!

Luckily I also had a spare dimmer switch in the garage. I now have a lovely bright, fully lit-up dashboard.

Thanks for your help.
