Lack Of Anti-freeze.

What started off as a blown head gasket now looks like a new engine required.

 

Check out the corrosion on the block.

 

The last owner had tried to fix it with some liquid metal but I think it's too far gone.

 

The head is knackered as well.

I have another block but unfortunately it has a hole above the water pump.

 

If that can't be fixed then 16v's it is.

Liquid metal will fix the hole by the water pump. It's not under much pressure so it holds ok. But still I'd recommend 16v. B)

I had this before on an 8v lump, had it welded at a specialists down here, cost me £13 (30 minutes labour!)
