I thought I would share my 205 with you, it doesnt have anything you havent seen before on 205gtidrivers nor does it have any spectacular modifications but I have put a lot of time and money in and at times given me heartache and headache but it is now a 205 I really want to keep.

I have owned it several years but started the popular Mi16 back in Novermber 2007, I have replaced a lot of parts but this is the main specification:

 

Rebuilt 1.9 Mi16 engine.

Big valve head

Q-E-P exhaust manifold sandwich plate.

Shortened inlet manifold

Gasflowed throttle body

Fse boost valve

Mi16 Be3 gearbox

Re-conditioned injectors ( madprofessor)

Constella Baffled sump, 6 bar oil pump spring, alloy finned sump

Mocal oil cooler

oil catch tank

Gaz coilovers and dampers 180lb springs

soild Rear beam mounts.

Rebuilt 309 beam

Safety Devices c12 roll cage with added harness bars

OMP racing seats

sabelt 4 point harness

Baker BM silicone hose kit.

BBM shortened induction hose.

Spoox silicone oil breather hose set.

BBM uprated engine mounts, uprated strut rubbers

constella Group N gear linkages

Quickshift

Bronze bushes

Green cotton air filter

Mocal Oil cooler

Relocated battery to boot (moulded plastic box)

Xsara VTS quick rack without power steering

Anthony recently built me a new 309 beam he stripped my old one there and then and showed me past bodge ups from previous owners, I thought my 205 handled well but a new beam makes a hell of a difference its the best Mod I have had done.

Since this picture was taken I have fitted a bbm shorter induction hose and re-located battery to the boot to allow a larger green cotton air filter and the throttle response improved alot. I have also added sparco aluminium strut brace which is a lot lighter than the omp and a spoox silicone oil breather hose kit.

Gasflowed throttle body I was always suspicious about these but as I wanted to keep my standard set up i thought id give it a try so I contacted a nice guy on ebay selling them and did a swap for all my old throttle bodies for this shiny one.

It was clean il have to go over it with gunk and a toothbrush after using it as a daily.

I have done only one trackday and they were alright for that but could have been firmer. but for 99% of the time its used on roads and find it firm enough. I cant remember what standard shocks lbs are 80lb??

I have since replcaed this omp kubic wheel with a deep dished 350mm as turning with it was horrendous and il get some new pictures up of the stripped rear with safety device cage.

That's one amazingly clean engine bay you have there, nice project! How do you find the xsara rack without the P/S?

thanks Dave, the rack was from an old member on here that crashed his rally car so i just took it straight from his car that had a rear ender but had to remove it again because one of the arms was flopping about and replaced that. maybe this rack used to have power steering or maybe its a mk1 version? i heard the mk1 racks were a bit quicker. Heavier but i love it! it feels a bit more like a mazda mx5 steering where its really responsive.
