Autofive Bumpers & Arches/trims

Recommended Posts

NNPUT

I was thinking of purchasing new bumpers and arches c/w red trim inserts from Autofive and wanted to know how well they look and fit compared to OE items (assuming the autofive ones arent OE)??

Are they worth the money or are there better alternatives?

Thanks

Mark

Yes direct from your local Peugeot dealership parts counter. Get the part numbers of service box or they will be able to get that info. Depends on how helpful they are. My local one are w****rs, others have said they are very helpful!

Service box is what the people use to find parts and numbers at the Pug dealers. You can join yourself saying you work for a garage or company but it can be a little bit of hassle at time so i use THIS instead.

Hope this helps.

bugger, some of that has gone up quite a bit recently with the weak pound and the increase in vat, wasn't that long ago when the most of the bits were about £25 each.

Bumpers have not gone up oddly!

Is your plastic trim broken or missing? If it isnt you could try revamping them with Plasticare Trim Dye and just buy the red inserts.

Cheers Guys, i have two sets of trims which arent too bad but i didnt want to put used trims back on a freshly sprayed car and make it look tatty. For the sake of circa £500 i'd rather buy new ones.

Are the parts in stock, if so whats the typical delivery lead time?

Thanks

Mark

Best to check with your local Pug dealer, but usually with most dealers i've found, you pay on ordering, if it's in warehouse it normally takes 2 days to come in.

Cheers, one last question! My Gti is black, should the arches and trims be Grey or black?

Phase 1/1.5 Grey, Phase 2 black. The part numbers/prices i posted relate to a Phase 1/1.5.

Do Peugeot still make the trims in the lighter grey then? I was under the impression they could only be bought in phase 2 grey?

Hurricane grey is for the PH2 (ie totally black to me and im not colour blind) and grey is for the older models.

I think they would come from France more than a warehouse in the UK, i got some bits (not trim) and they have all come from France but i guess it depends on their parts warehouse.
