Compbrake Short Shift Gear Stick

Recommended Posts

backroadpug

Hi all just fitted a compbrake short shift to my Rallye just wondering if any one else has fitted one?And if so what do you think of it?

Its a nice looking piece of kit and was an easy job to do 15-20 mins to fit, It has made a difference to the lenth of the shifts but not as much as I would of liked.

I also have a set of kevlar momo buckets fitted, the sides are quite high and with the gear stick being slightly shorter 2nd gear is quite close to the seat now.

Would a set of adjustable gear rods help get the throw even shorter so it has a bit more clearance.

Cheers Richard

I've had a couple, look good etc and the later ones are well made as they're one piece where the early ones fell apart. But tbh i don't think that much of them for multiple reasons including as you say, the difference isn't huge and the cost is high really for what you can better alot cheaper.

Yes you should be able to adjust the linkages so the lever sits in the correct/better position.
