Removing Cooling Fan Resistor

Recommended Posts

madspikes

A few years ago I removed the cooling fan resistor and replaced it with a wire loop, all well and good. The problem is now that at the start of my current off the road / rebuild session I removed this link with the plan of 'doing it properly', the problem is I have forgotten with pins need to be connected!

I have worked out that one pin seems to live all the time, and I think another is ground all the time... Which of the 3 pins need linking? I guessing that the live and non permeant ground pin.

I did a search but I couldnt find the info I was looking for, but I have been a rubbish the with the old search function of late!

Thanks,

Mad :(

sorry cannot help with what wire to link i just got rid of all the wiring and rewired using an earth through the temp switch to operate a relay that switches the earth to cooling fan,the cooling fan live is fused direct from shunt box.

seems to be working well and so much neater looking than all the crap wiring it had before.
