What Mods For A 306 Or 405 Wishbone On 205 Subframe

Recommended Posts

I'm going to make a 205 V6. But I have a ABS set laying in the way in the garage, so i'm thinking about making a 205 V6 with ABS. :(

But my questing is :

What are mods needed to suit a 306 or a 405 wishbone on the 205 subframe? At DrSarty's EVO II I have seen that he is using a 306 wishbone with a late 405 hub. What are the mods for that?

Regards,

easiest way would be 306/405 outer CV's with ML inners, in 306 hub carriers on 205 or 309 wishbones.

306 wishbones require a notch out of the chassis above the rear "P" bush as well as the front bracket being made wider.

405 wishbone would most likely require similar if not more extensive mods.

DrSarty's has a custom made plate bolted into the 306 wishbone to accept the taper of the 405/6 balljoint (BJ screws into the bottom of the hub)

So you mean a hybrid axle? 406 coupe axle with a 306 / 405 CV, and a 306 ABS hub?

What do you mean with ML inners? :(

Become the track width not bigger with the 306 hubs?

you always need hybrid driveshafts of some sort with a V6 conversion, ML inner CV's refer to the inner CV joints on the driveshafts that fit the V6 gearbox.

(Most 406 ML shafts are the same, i.e 2.1 + 2.2 TD, and V6)

306 hubs are nearly 100% identical to 205, so by using 306 outer CV joints on the hybrid driveshafts you can have ABS.
