Which Rear Exhaust For D6b

Hi, which part number is the right one for my car... it is 205 1.9 d6b (xu9ja) engine, year 1990. i can't decide which rear exhaust to choose.

here are parts numbers from peugeot box:

 

1725 94 - UNTIL - 1990

1726 50 - SINCE - 1990 EXCEPT XU9J1

E 128 83 H - UNTIL - 1990 AND AGE >= 5

E 128 63 E - SINCE - 1990 EXCEPT XU9J1 AND AGE >= 5

Without looking under your car to see what type of backbox to front section joint you have I'd assume you'll need one for the later two piece system which should have an olive join meaning you'll want 1726.50 but from the pictures on service box it doesn't show the olive fitting I think your car will have.

 

The only diagram on service box that does show an olive fitting is 1726.34 which is for injection & XU9JAZ & also for the XUD7T which is the box I have on my car normally.

From my experience early exhausts are in three pieces and sleeved, the later ones are I think in two pieces and have the olive/clamp fitting

Yeah, tht'st correct & a 1990 should have the two piece which needs the olive fitting

 

Service box lists the numbers above for the post 1990 cars but shows the 1726.34 with more of a sleeve design backbox fitting so I'd choose the 1726.34 as I know it fits & works fine.
