Bodywork Damage

I recently made a right pigs ear of parking at work recently in my Audi A3. I've been quoted £500 + VAT . Is this right? as I'm not convinced it should cost that much. Been told they meed to spray the the passenger as to blend in etc.

They will need to blend it in, passenger door, possibly bumper. It's so it is a gradual difference in colour and won't stand out. Typically you look at spending 100 for each panel but bearing in mind they're going to have to repair the scratches and possible dents. It cost me 350 to have my bonnet sprayed and rear arch sorted and sprayed. Maybe try bargaining and getting it all done for 500 inc vat?

Price is always dependant on where you go and the quality of work. Had 4 panels sprayed of my MG for £250 but it wasn't an amazing job, but paid £200 somewhere else to get a tiny scratch done on the TT. They did spray the whole door though for blending

with painting and panel work you generally can have either a cheap job or a good job.

 

I could get it blown over for fifty quid but you'd be able to tell it was a cheap job.

From what you're saying that £500 + VAT seems a good deal, so better ask if that quote is still going.

Get quotes from a couple of other places too and you can make a decision from there

Get some other prices and then just fight them agianst eachother to see who will do it cheapest. Depends who wants the busness most

my new 306 has quite a bad dent in rear quarter willl need blending with door also. i have several quotes all for around £300 cash so id ask about and say cash when you get quotes

if the damage is just at the wheel arch and not near the door then they should be able to blend the colour into the 1/4 keeping the colour away from the door edge and then just clearcoat the whole 1/4,but from a picture its hard to see
