Most Expensive Refuel

Recommended Posts

Matt205

Today it cost £95.45 to refill my SMAX with diesel at 130.9p/l. Only when I had a V70 T5 with petrol and LPG tank have I ever spent more. These prices must be crippling for so many businesses and families.

Yup - you know it's bad when a humble 306 takes best part of £80 to fill with diesel

Depressing isn't it? Made the mistake of not quite having enough fuel to get to London tonight and filled up on the M1 - £1.35 a litre for 95RON unleaded

Some of my relatives live on Barra (Outer Hebrides). 95 RON is currently £1.55/l, diesel over £1.60!!

Seriously?! I thought my 166 was bad. 80 quid to fill from almost empty. 72 litre tank. Around town that last me 250 miles at about 18 not average.

I filled the 106 up at Tesco, the cheapest round here at £1.25/L so about £50. Managed just under 400 miles mixed driving. Quite pleased with that, although it only lasted 4 days :(

Bicycles FTW!

Although rather an inconvenience having a bent ZX on the 6th of Jan, I've ridden my bike to work most days since, its 18.5 miles each way and often takes an hour due to traffic.

Takes an hour on the bike!

703 Miles ridden so far :(

Got to question my sanity right now, as I'm oogling at E34 5 series and they like a drink. My old 530 wouldn't get better than 20mpg on a good day :(

205's not much better, high 20s (if I drive it sensibly) at £1.36/litre super-duper fuel B)

Don't know why you're all complaining, Diesel and Petrol are a bit over £1 in Romania and the average wage is £200 per month. :(

Fuel prices are increasing everywhere.

There's a common link between these two Alan... to give you a hint, it's that heavy foot attached to the bottom of your right leg B)

Its all because oil is running out and is getting harder to get out the ground, that is why the USA wants to raid alaska for it riches, although the Inuits dont for obvious reasons, pollution etc. Its a pity the USA still make high litre V8 cars everywhere as if its the norm, they take fuel/oil for granted.

I filled up my car for about £60, and I managed 27mpg in my 1.9 8v. That was mixed driving. I could happily get above 30mpg if I wanted.

Lasted me about 4 weeks! :(

Good man! During the warmer months I cycle every where, starting at 4am at the moment so I don't cycle. I'm not a morning person :( !

I put about £20 in the XS a week and each time I fill up I enter all the details into my ipod! B) Keeps track of MPG and fuel prices, I get between 30-40 which I'm well pleased with as it was running super rich to start with (not been run since November till I got it on the road late Jan)

China and India are far bigger problems. The US is gradually trying to control its use of fuels (reluctantly)

Its a sign of the times. I drive my clio RS at 50mpg to work to save fuel. Getting 47mpg. I leave 5 minutes earlier and crank up the music. Gets me a few extra days to each tank.

Christ, i've just realised it was around £90 about 6yrs ago to fill my Range Rover's 90l tank and i thought that was alot, now it costs the same if not a little more to fill a 70l Volvo tank basically ffs. :(

And in '06, fuel was basically 80pence per litre, what's happened in 5 years ffs, and whay are Americans still only paying essentially 60pence per litre...???
