Misfire

My GTI6 (still on standard management) has developed an intermitent misfire usually when under heavy load but occasionally just when it feels like it?!

 

My gut feeling is its a fuel pressure problem how would I check? Is an upgraded pump a good idea for these engines?

Std pump is fine, Most common cause of a missfire on these engines are the coil packs, these are forever failing due to the heat they encounter

I happen to have a set of coils if you need them.

Deffinatly sounds like a coil pack, you have a choice of 4 afterall!
