Passenger Door Won't Open!

Recommended Posts

The passenger door won't open on our K plate base model 205. I've taken the door panel off and the linkages are all moving, think something must have broken in the catch. How can you open the door, is there a way to dismantle the catch to allow you to open the door and fit a new catch?

most likely to be a seized door handle lever, not the outer bit but the lever that pivots on the inside of it.

Is that obvious which bit will be seized? The door worked fine for a while then stopped opening all of a sudden

Mine was exaclty what welshpug said in the 2nd post.

Had to take the interior trim panel off bit fiddly as you cant open the door then you just need to move the lever on the back off the handle easy and satisfying Wolaah the door opens.

Need to greese it up etc before putting door back together otherwise it will just happen again.
