I may as well be the first to say this but bring the back up to match the front, it'll make for a much better handling road car.

Is the back low due to worn suspension, or has it been lowered?

rear beam is worn. but if i removed all the engine bitd out the boot it may looks level  . im going to rebuild a rear beam one day and just lower it , i dont want it silly low but just not like a tank that it is now.

This is the girlfriends saxo. i dragged it out the garage the other day as she never uses it and the way it handles is great plus it does have a full set of continental contact 2 tyres which does help.

This is a old pic now as windows are tinted

looks like its gonna be one of these disagreements so i wont even bother and ill be taken for some young 19 year old boy racer that just wants his car slammed to the deck like the saxo

I've been there, I had a 106 gti that was very low on 17's. It looked nice but it handled like a trolley jack

for a car to handle it needs to have suspension that moves, not just be sat on the bump stops or have very little movement.

What phase 205 is that? Is it a super rare phase 3?

EDIT: just noticed the purple, nice phase 2.5!!!

I'd say a Formula 1 car must handle pretty well though, think how much suspension travel they have. It's all about context.

they've upped the spring rate somewhat to stop it just sitting on the stops though haven't they

Basically:

A very low car will handle badly, wear out the driveshafts and be impractical.

A correctly lowered car will handle, turn in and be useful.

30mm all round is about the limit for a fast road 205.

This should be the post that should be read before any modification on suspension I guess.

by the way Cameron, I found this forum is not just a technical chatting forum, it is also an English class for me.

I was just being pedantic. :D

"pedantic" a completely new and useful word to me ;)

Yes, but they're called hairdressers.
