I bought the March edition of Octane over the weekend as it had lots of GpB cars on the cover, nice feature, good pics but the editorial is a bit lightweight (nothing I didn't already know - or maybe i'm just an anorak!)

 

Anyway, there was an insert in the mag for a direct debit subs offer of £5 for the next 5 issues and a free one of these

You beat me to it J, I saw this in WHSmith today & it does look a good issue to buy.

 

205 T16 gets a good write up from what I read but it was only a quick skim through the whole mag.

Doubt you'd get this issue with any subscription deal now though.

It is nice to see the 959 included. The 288 GTO is missing from the line up too. As ever you learn very little as time goes on in these road tests as the info has not changed from the previous feature! Ian's T16 is the regular UK mag choice and usually appears at Pugfest too

I've had a go in that T16

 

OK, only around and into the NEC, but it still counts (in my book anyway )

 

Back OT though - I have never bought Octane magazine before this episode - I thought it was a good read.

I've been getting this mag since issue 1.

It's probably the best of it's type, not too many ads either and a very good list of contributors, Nick Mason, Jay Leno etc etc.

They do a write up on the 205 each year. Last year they compared the 1.6, 1.9 and T16, tHe 1.9 had only done less than a 500 miles!
