They look alright but surely it's not that hard to simply not kerb your wheels?

The 15s are relatively forgiving anyway...

they fit between the tyre and the rim and held on by clips so the tyre wont be sitting on the rim right to my way of thinking,or am i wrong?

I cannot see the need in them. When reversing, use your mirrors and keep off the kerb.

Its like fitting Bull Bars to avoid bumper scuffs.

That's why they do them in pink :(

Yes, it should be easy enough to NOT kerb your wheels, but I don't think I've ever bought a 2nd hand car with alloys that haven't been kerbed. Except maybe my current GTI, but the wheels were refurbed not long before I got it.

This will be more appropriate for those with 18" wheels, thin tyres, and massive cars. They're the ones who are more prone to kerbing their wheels.

They might help with the wife and the CLK - the alloys have more lip than a Mursi tribeswoman, she's only been driving a year and we live on a mini roundabout (times are hard :( ) so the kerbs are all on a curved angle, not good!

I've got these on my Audi A6 as I kerb'd the nearside front one after the car was only a week old. The size of the car took a bit of getting used after coming from a Seat Leon Cupra MK2.

The problem these days is that wheels have got bigger and the profile of tyres has got lower.

Don't think I'll have any problems with the 50 profiles on my 1.9 GTI.

Cheers
