How Do You Mount Your 306 Battery Box?

Recommended Posts

allye

Hello all,

As its died down on here I thought I would ask a little question that I'v been unsure about for a while!

I'v got a 306 battery box to house my ECU and was wondering how others have mounted it on a 205 battery tray and how have you secured the battery?

I see originally the 306 battery was secured with a bar over the top, that I don't have and might give ago.

Photos would be very nice :) I searched but I don't think its been covered before so should be some use for other!

Thanks, Ali

Slightly different layout for me. Header tank moved to the left a bit.

Left or right?

Left would move the header tank nearer to the strut top & make it a tighter fit wouldn't it?

Graham.

That was what I thought. I went to the scrap yard today (grist group, westbury yard) and they are taking a few bits off for me inlcuing a 306 battery clamp (our not allowed to take parts off yourself for some reason)

So will have one of those and I'm guessing bolt the box to the tray without disturbing the position of the battery?

Also there is still a ph2, I think 1.6 red gti, and a dark grey stdt there (minus the valances and guages now for my mates 205 XRDT!!)

Yeah, that'd explain it but I always think of left as nearside when related to the car.

Graham.
