Hey guys, I've been wondering where my 205 was originally from.

Does anyone know of any sites that can tell you this from the reg plate?

Mine ends in MYE, I've had a look around and it could be London but I'm not too sure.

http://www.kingkong.demon.co.uk/where/gb.htm

Ive used that one before, seems fairly reliable, but I havent cross checked it against anything thing i can definitely confirm

I think that may be for the newer reg style.

I've found this which seems to be fairly complete http://www.cvpg.co.uk/REG.pdf

So according to that my 205 was originally from Central London.

Interesting find. Looks like my red 1.6 originally came from Bournemouth and my sorrento 1.9 from Reading.

1.9 from coventry, dimma from maidstone, convertible and 1.6 are from guildford. so only my 1.9 has come any distance.

The ones i know were correct although it only tells you where the car was origionally registered not definatly where it came from Mine is YX which would suggest central london however I picked it up brand new from aldershot!!

But should be correct most of the time i guess, perhaps mine is the exception which proves the rule.

My GTi was F444AUX and was brand new from Roy Evans peugeot in oswestry (where i live)

i was in work, and an old woman part ex'd a 309 1.3 iirc with the reg of F443AUX, also from roy evans'!

i was so close to buying it just for the number plate!

i also searched my car on the database at work and found about 10 years worth of history at that garage! thats worth having.... well was until the shell got scrapped :)
