Can Anyone Machine Wheel Spacers?

Recommended Posts

matty_gti

Ive currently got speedlines on my 306 and I want to put my 17" Inovit wheels on but they need hubcentric spacers to fit perfectly.

Does anyone know where or who can machine me some spacers?, there was a couple of people on the GTI6 forum but they don't do them any more.

I need them 22mm wide with an internal bore of 65.1 and an external bore or 67.1.

Any help wold be great!.

That sounds pretty much like a Ford to Peugeot kit. From memory, OZ wheels come with a spacer kit to make them Peugeot fitment so there must be plenty about.

Cheers Tom, I've just emailed him.

Henry, I thought there would be some sort of spacers out there as there a multi fit wheel. I did find a pair of 22mm hubcentric ones with a 65.1 hub both sides so I would need spigot rings but at a price of £190

I have a set of 4 ford to pug spacers in 20mm, I bought them wanting straight pug - pug 20mm and only wanted 2 of them because I already had 20mm on the front for the brembos, just wanted the back to match the front, I used them for a while with a collar to make the wheel sit on them right but took them off because the wheels caught in the arches at the back (cyclones on the 306 v6 estate).

They are the steel ones that bolt to the hub, then you bolt the wheels to the spacer.

Ok so the ford hubs/bores are slightly larger than the pug ones...I've now found a set of four for £116!, and all I'd need then is spigot rings for the wheels as there pug to pug fitment.

Where did you find the pug to ford fitment ones?.

Just remembered that ford wheels have a smaller centre bore than pug ones, only a couple of mil.

Ebay!

The same seller does the pug - pug and the ford - pug, ford have a smaller bore, I've just had a quick look and it seems it's not ford - pug you want, ford is 57mm, not 67mm!

The sets I have had before have spigot rings you fir onto them. In the past I have had metal spigot rings on some after market wheels and have found these can stick to the hub when you take the wheel off. I discovered this during a puncture in the rain one and had to hammer off the spigot with a screwdriver. Since then I used hardened plastic spigot rings or just rally greased up the hubs. I got these plastic ones from Halfords but you can get them from ebay.

Cheers for the help guys but I've decided to sell the 17" wheels as I prefer the speedlines I have on her atm so they'll be in the 'for sale' section soon!.
