Which Fuel Line Goes Where?

In the process of putting my fuel tank back on but forgot which pipe goes onto which bit of the pump. It's just the two equal sized pipes that go on top of the pump but I'm not sure which one goes where, can someone shed some light, please?

IIrc the pipe nearest the centre of the car is the 'out' pipe.

all the pumps I recall seeing had arrows on the pump takeoffs.
