1.6 Gti Compensator Position

It's underneath the coil on the engine bay firewall. Very easy to see, it's about the size of a bottle of tippex.

Follow the brake line to it, you've only got two chances to get the wrong one (with one being pretty obviously wrong) so you've got one chance of getting it right!

I'm wondering if he means the angle that the compensator is supposed to sit at?

21/22 degree's from horizontal I seem to remember?

thanks for the replys guys the angle and information is useful, but the reason I was asking for a picture is so I have a reference on where to fit it to my xs

Ahh no worries, let me have a scout about sure I have it somewhere.

 

In words its just connected to the chassis rail where the subframe on the passenger side meets it, on the little hump.
