been at the car today, i have spark at the plugs, i also ran wires from the battery to the pump and its buzzing away but there is no fuel coming to the engine. i made sure i put the pipes back on the correct way when refitting, the car does try to crank so what else can it be, i have some fuel relays coming so will try that, could it be the crank sensor or some other ignition part. also could it be the alternator. any help much appreciated.

Well if you can hear the pump buzzing and theres no fuel at the engine maybe a blockige?.Or a duff pump might be worth pulling the out pipe of the pump and see if theres anything coming out?.Allso is there any petrol in it?.If there isnt alot of fuel in it and its parked on a funny angle or jacked up the pump might not be able to suck it up.

I would work out why theres no fuel before changing any relays etc and make sure you have the wires the right way round when connecting a live to it.Because i belive if you`ve connected the live and earth the wrong way on the pump it will run in reverse there fore drawing fuel away from the engine and trying to pump it down the return either way just pull the pipes off the pump and run it then you`ll see if the pump is doing anything.
