Strange Brake Problem

Drove the 205 for the first time in 8 days yesterday

Hand brake has been on all that time as my drive is sloped

Set off from home all was good after they had broke free

But at 40 mph there was a big wobble in the steering wheel

Once warm it went, but at 75/80mph it came back

Brakes worked fine

Came home did a bit of work on the 306 and had to go out again

This time they seemed to be holding on. Was ok while accelerating but I let off the brakes seemed to come on by themselves!

After about a mile all was good again!

I first thought it was warped brakes, then then thought the servo may be playing up!

 

Any ideas?

Worth jacking the back end up and operating the handbrake a few times make sure they are releasing and they are adjusted correctly, maybe worth taking the drums off and having a look. Also worth checking the front sliders arent worn if using 1.6 calipers and also that the pistons move freely.
