Standard Air Filter?

Bought my gti as a non runner with bits missing that I have had to source.

 

One of them things is an airbox which I have coming next week,what I would like to know is should I have a bracket on rear of cylinder head for the air box to fix to or does the airbox bolt straight to cylinder head?

Think it bolts on the cylinder head and onto a bracket on the exhaust manifold, or though not many cars have these brackets anymore!

Most of the brackets are usually cracked but it isn't too hard to make up something that does the job adequately. It's a bit of a bonus that it's hidden from view too so if you're no Uri Geller, it shouldn't matter too much
