No Ignition Live At 32a

Recommended Posts

Okay, so wire 32a or 2a are supposed to be a ignition live, for wiring in ECU/management etc.

My wires have no ignition live output i.e. i turn the key and theres no live, i could scrape the red wire along the negative terminal and there would be no sparks sorta dead. Is there a specific fuse or relay that controls the power to this live wire? Which one? so i can replace it!

If i run a power back through it again the little green relay on the bulkhead clicks on? does something sound like its crossed?

Is there another ignition live i can use to wire in an ECU? Or should i just resort to soldering some wire to the back of the ignition barrel?

Those wires fed the original fuel injection/ignition and fuel pump relay ignition sense.

You've not got an immobiliser that's cutting the feed have you or something like that? Are all the wires coming off the ignition barrel connected?

What have you done since the car last worked, as with no power on those wires it couldn't have run.

I did have starting issues before i laid the car up to work on it but it started (eventually) and had power spark etc then.

Ive cut the wires back to the multiplugs so i can separate gauge loom and removed all the ECu stuff, tachy relay etc. And the car hasnt had a battery fitted since i laid it up, (bar today when i had the motivation to start work on it) so no schoolboy error or eathing the wire out when cutting.

It does have an immobiliser tho! I didnt think about that, i always assumed because all the ignition electrics came on (lights, windows stereo etc) that is didnt effect that part of the loom, ill go check it now, but could it be anything else?

Okay, so just went outside and checked for a live with the immobiliser turned off, still no live.

Is the Whole of that plug meant to be ignition live? All 3 wires? Because none of them are, but if you look in the far bottom left of the fuseboard there is a plug hole with a red dot, its un-used on my board and al 3 pins are switched lives, so if i mod the plug if there any reason why i cant put the plug for 32a into this plug hole?

Although i would like to know why 32a is dead <_<
