Spoox Engine Mount

Recommended Posts

Has anyone had experience with the Spoox engine mount? I use to get lowered engine mounts made by a local company but they went out of business. I was asked yesterday to modify a Spoox mount. It wasn't hard to remove 10mm and get the overall height down to 65mm, which I prefer for conversions. It would be nice if they just offered a custom mount in that size.

That's a VibraTechnics mount.

Yeh fortunately that is a vibra technics mount, think they supply spoox now, i did some testing for them when at 205parts. Very good quality items and the best bit about them is being able to replace the rubber inserts with different compounds. I ran these mounts for a good few thousand miles with no problems.

I've had a couple for years, seem pretty good but I wouldn't pay for one again over a BakerBM item tbh.

Maybe you missed my point. It's easy to pull it apart and face it down in the lathe to reduce the overall height, improving master cylinder clearance. Something you can't do on a BakerBM mount. It's worth the extra just for that.

There are other ways of doing that though.

Well Welshpug has slotted his servo holes in the bulkhead himself so it can be bolted in higher or more to the right away from the cam cover, of which i will be doing once i come round to that.

Yes i see what you mean and definitely.

Strangely the two i have are different heights, one was a development 'race' version with less rubber in it.
