309 GTi torsion bars are definitely stiffer than 205 GTi ones, despite the extra length.

 

To give you an idea, here is the rough lengths you need to set between damper bolts for a ~35mm drop when building a beam:

 

205 GTi (18.9mm) = 312mm

309 GTi (20mm) = 305mm

205 GTi with PTS 20mm bars = 302mm

 

All things being equal, the stiffer the torsion bar, the shorter you need to set the distance between shock centers.

 

The anti-roll bar will be stiffer by the same sort of margin as the torsion bars, seeing as they're also 19 vs 20mm

some quick rough calcs,

 

205 18.9mm = 108 lbft. (same diameter in 309 length would be 104 lbft)

 

309 20mm = 130 lbft.
