Long Flat Wheel Bolts 16mm Extended

Recommended Posts

christopher

I need new flat wheel bolts that are around 16mm longer than normal.

Does anyone know where I can buy a reputable set? I'm having difficulty finding anything suitable.

I'm trying not to go with a stud conversion...only with last alternative

Cheers

Christopher

that's a sod, no data on Servicebox for that part number bar the thread type, used on plenty of vehicles though so not hard to find in breakers yards.

the ones that came with my Indianapolis Saxo/Xsara wheels are fairly long, this is the part number

5405 61 ALU WHEEL SCREW DIAM 12X1.25-42

how long do they need to be specifically?

Found a set in the shed. BX16V are 8mm longer (43mm from under the washer). You're probably better off with studs. Grayston sell a nut/washer that looks near identical to original, in either open or closed varieties. They're zinc coated rather than chrome however. I've got set of opens on the track car but of course they rarely see any bad weather.

I guess the 42 at the end means 42mm long. Well the standard bolts are 35mm and the spacers are 16mm (51mm). So I guess around 50mm would be ok.

Thanks for looking petert. That would have been an easy solution.

Do these studs have to be glued in with strong loctite? I'm considering it but not sure what is best bolts or studs..

Grayson also do a tapered washer that converts a 60 degree bolt to a flat type. Probably the same as these on ebay.

I'm considering these too. What are your thoughts on those?
