I never thought I'd start one of these threads but since my 205 ownership I have only seen one GTI and it wasn't locally!

 

But I saw a Grey/Black GTI in the carpark of The Imperial (wetherspoons) in Exeter on boxing day, it had a GB sticker on the back, wondered if it was anyone on here - didn't have a chance to look up close as I was with mates.

There's a few of us around in Exeter, I've got a red Mi, there's a White Cti on twin 40's owned by pike1.9cti and a Miami blue Gti6 owned by captaink. I don't know whose it was that you saw in the imperial but you dont see many round here!

Has someone resprayed my car or do I really need to go to Specsavers? Could have sworn it was Graphite Grey last time I looked.

 

Mine is an L reg badged as a 1.9 GTi, but its a GTi6 underneath. I was in Exeter a lot (Monks Road) but I moved house earlier in the year (2010 !). It now resides in Kingsteignton, but is often in the Exeter area still as I work in Exeter.

Sorry! Got yours confused with a L reg miami that I've seen around!

 

My girlfriend lives in monks road so I'm there quite a lot, not always in my 205 though! Thinking about it I do recall seeing a graphite L reg 205 a few times, about half way down, assume that's you! There was also an old 1.6 that sometimes parks right at the top of monks road but haven't seen it in ages!

 

Used to see a mint laser green 205 as well with goodwood wheels but not seen that in a while, it had PSOOC stickers in the windows

Its a small world . And yes, the graphite grey L reg half way down Monks Road WAS indeed me. But as of about mid-2010 it would have been moved to my new house in Kingsteignton. I think I saw you driving on my way too and from work in a red 205.
