It should only be a page long, and say "replace worn parts with OE replacements"

Do they seriously tell you how to do that?! How on earth is that possible, a servo linker to the throttle somehow?! Sounds terrifying!!!!

Oh yes, it's a Zemco cruise control kit consisting of a throttle actuator which has a cable that connects to the throttle linkage and a control module - should take about 2 hours to fit according to the book.

Next page details how to install a screenwash level indicator - apparently this is recommended as it is a legal requirement to have working screen washers!

I've got this book too, had it years. The Weber Alpha kits are interesting - not so the cassette holder.

Also got this book, in a box in the loft ater looking through it once & considering it rubbish.

Might use it to start a fire one day... although it'll probably be hard to start or go out.

I once bought this book brand new off ebay, still in the wrapping. Read it, realised it was crap. Stuck it back on ebay and it sold for £10 more than I bought it. So in actual fact, it's a great book. Well worth the money!

I picked one of these up years ago at a PSC national convention at MIRA in the late 90's.

Page 44 will tell all you poor people without a sunroof how to fit one

Come on guys, to me it seems a shame to knock it! This was a period book when the modifying scene was a little different. Fashions change with time but the principles are there. Its obviously had some input from people who love the little 205 as much as we do. I think its nice to see illustrations of Mi's and the writer almost seems to get as excited about the XU9J4 as much as we all do!

I bought the book for 1p of amazon (P&P £2.80) ...... it is truly terrible; however it does document how people ruined their cars back in the 80's and 90's

I think it should be re-issued titled "How to Completely Ruin Y0ur Peugeot 205".

On another note does anyone know the 205 GTI Club guy who looks like a complete nob towards the back of the book ... does he still have a 205 and the same puffer jacket with sunglasses look.......saying that I had a Kurt Cobain hair do back in the 90's .....sadly bald now :-( so shouldn't take the piss too much
