You can move it under the scuttle panel on the n/s, I'v seen it under the head lights and one even in the passenger footwell, obviously no good for a road car!

I moved mine to the driverside as I had no jack on my mi a few years back. Would it be worth considering one of these http://www.merlinmotorsport.co.uk/p1492/WI...oduct_info.html ?? You could mount it somewhere neatly. I always think the original washer bottle mounted to the bulkhead in some conversions looks horrible and doesn't suit there. Either that or get a nice durite square washer bottle?

If you have binned the rear wiper you can use the rear washer bottle for the front , no need to use the big front one any more

The motor is located behind the washer bottle in the boot, run a hose and wires from the back pump as if it were the front, jobs a goodun!

Or don't bother with moving the wires and just use the "rear" switch on the stalk.

That might not pass the MOT, depends on the tester probably.

why not ? in my land rover days i had random switches dotted around doing random things, and no mot man batted a eyelid (as long as i showed them what did what )

Yes they do, I've had more than one 205 fail because the triangle has worn off the hazard switch for example.

That's a friendly tester, they need to be clearly marked. The point is you could MOT it then sell it to someone who has no idea what does what.

Hazzard switch is a bit different, like the fact it has to have a flashing bulb in it. if you have a problem with it failing, bring it to me and ill write you a ticket lol :( or ask the inspector to get his reggs out.

not a problem, as it is the sellers responsability. the inspectors job is not to test the car is 'oe' spec.

Like the Vauxhaul "pull the light switch out to work the interior light" trick !! :(

You don't actually need to move the bottle, because you don't need a big filter for an Mi. I have a green filter on mine, correctly rated for the power output of the car, and it fits nice and snug in the space available. You do need a specific "top hat" adaptor on the AFM though, so that the filter sits flush against the AFM. If you use the K&N 57i type adaptor it spaces the filter out a good couple of inches from the AFM, and then you will struggle for space.
