How To Remove Gearbox From Xantia

Recommended Posts

camgti

Trying to remove the gearbox form the 2.0 turbo form the Xantia. I believe it the Rgy motor. Looks to be a Ml5 box? Ive taken all bolts off, gearbox moves about but does not want to come free from the crank? Any Ideas. Is there a pressure issue with the hydraulic operational clutch...

Is it the pull type clutch like on the later mi16's and vts's? i dont think i have seen one, so i dont know if it is internanaly hydraulic or on a lever setup.

if it is, you may have to take off the clutch arm to allow the fork to come from behind the bearing.

Thanks for the replys,

Sorry to sound stupid here, but how do I remove the slave cyclinder? It doesent seem to be able to be removed externally.

Miles, are you saying that I just need to pull it off with force? It feel like this. Like its free but hanging on by a strong rubber band, which seems like a hydrulic pressure ( slave cyclinder ) thingy....

Ill give it another go.

iirc you just rotate it 1/3rd of a turn (slave cylinder) and it'll pull out of the hole.
