Remember that 195/50R15's are usually considerably cheaper than the "correct" size of 185/55R15.

From Camskill, Toyo T1-R's are £82.50 a pair in 185/55R15 compared to £58.20 a pair for 195/50R15 (plus delivery in both cases)

Also got a set of T1-R's from camskill, 195/50's, find them pretty good tbh, nice and progressive in the wet and decent grip in the dry. Not quite as good as the old eagle f1's gsd3's though.

Avon ACB10's.

Not exactly good tyres now are they unless you've got the aus compound. :o

Currently rolling on Kumho K70's or something on the 206. Got stock piles of Avon ACB10's for the 205 and a couple of dunlops on route

Would there be any harm in running, say, 185/55 on the front and 195/50 on the back?

No harm in doing that but I once found because my 205 was low at the back the 195s rubbed but then you could always swap them over if it does.

Not sure I've ever had the same 4 tyres on one car!

Bought mine with 4 x new toyo t1r tyres in 195/50/15 and they seem very good indeed.

They do suffer if the pressure isn't right though, seem optimal around 28-30 psi, any higher and the car feels nervous

Falken 912 for me, cheap and I can't fault them

I got some Falken 912's from Camskills a couple of weeks ago (after doing some research on here), came next working day and got a local garage to put them on for a nominal fee.

Seem to have coped well so far (only replaced back 2 tyres) no particularly hairy moments in the weather we have had lately.

Goodyear Eagle F1 on my FTO (all round) and they are very good and grippy in any weather. Got Toyo T1Rs all round on the 205 in 195/50/15 format because they are much cheaper that way (I believe its a common Ford fitment size, hence they are cheaper as mass produced). The Toyos are very good for their price, but not as good as the Eagle F1s which cost tons more.

Not surprising <_< they don't really cater for the smaller sizes any more and haven't moved the tech from the larger tyres down at all.

I have P6000's on the Volvo, they're dire.

(Despite working better on that than they ever did on any 205/309/306 i've driven with them fitted, must be something to do with the added mechanical weight!)

P£6000 is the amount it costs when you crash with these ditchfinders..Dont they make the F1's anymore?

They are meant to be the tyre to have on Jaaag's! (P6000's that is)

F1's are still made, in 19 and 20" <_<
