Phase 1 1.6, Will 1.9 Head Fit Ok?

hello all, the old man has a e reg 1.6 phase 1, guessing its the 105hp.

the head gasket is shot, we had taken the head off and had it skimmed ready, but ive got a spare decent 1.9 head

 

will this 1.9 head go on with no worries, of course the 1900 has yellow injectors compared to the green? i think on the 1.6

 

and before a load of people say, yes ive searched, but i cant find what the answer im looking for easily without going through pages and pages of threads!

I very much doubt it's a 105bhp one.

 

In which case the 1.9 head will be the same.

Possible if its phase1 tell tale sign are hex head bolts and no breather on the rocker cover iirc. I would use the 1.6 cam though if you do swap them over, they always feel very flat with a 1.9 cam in my experience, also keep the 1.6 injectors.

just had a quick look in the shed, rocker cover does have a breather, no sign of hex bolts as the head was taken off a while back, sat the 1.9 head next to it, looks the same, so thanks for the clues. Guna stay with the 1.6 head if there is no advantage, just remember reading that if put a 1.9 head on a 1.6 it gives 10hp etc etc

 

so im assuming its a 115hp now, cheers i just didnt know
