Fuel Line Re-routing

Recommended Posts

stuart1298

i have the engine in my car, and the fuel hoses run against the down pipe, or what would be the down pipe, i was thinking of cutting the metal pipe underneath the car, and running the rubber fuel pipes towards the wheel arch, but coming up along the corner where fuel filter woud sit, anyone got any ideas or if this sounds like a plan

I did this on mine. I ran them like a diesel as they come up the drivers inner wing.

exactly what i've done on my turbo convesion

if you cant get a lip rolled onto the fuel pipe then just push the rubber hose onto the metal fuel line a bit further and use 2 proper fuel hose clamps for good measure. Only really need to do it to the pressurised fuel rail feed, the return will be under less pressure

just run the rubber houses right into the very corner where the chassis leg meets the bulkhead then come up and follow the chassis leg rail.

My ph1.5 was routed like this as standard, if they all were you could nab the lines off a scrap shell.
